Cooling Fan — Three wind speeds (Low, Medium, High) push air up to 25 metres. Choose the speed that suits your mood and the heat outside.
Mist Humidifier — Five precision nano-mist nozzles spray ultra-fine water particles at 225ml/h directly into the airflow. The evaporating mist lowers the temperature of the air reaching your face and skin. Add a few ice cubes to the tank on peak afternoon heat for an extra-cold blast.

Q1. Is BuiBee a rechargeable / battery-operated cooler?
No. BuiBee runs on continuous USB power — it needs to stay plugged in to operate. It does not have a built-in battery. This is how it stays lightweight, affordable, and maintenance-free. You can use a power bank to make it portable outdoors, but the power bank itself needs to be connected throughout use.
Q2. What kind of charger do I need?
Any standard 5V/2A USB wall adapter works — the same type used for most Android smartphones. The cable included is USB Type-C. If you use a charger rated below 2A (like older 1A adapters), the fan will still run but the mist spray may reduce or stop. For best performance, use a 5V/2A or higher adapter.
Q3. What water should I use in the tank?
Use regular tap water or packaged mineral water. Do not use RO-purified or distilled water — the extremely low mineral content in these water types can affect the spray sensor and reduce mist output. If you notice reduced spray over time, empty the tank, rinse it, and refill with fresh tap water.
Q4. Can I add ice to the tank?
Yes, and we recommend it on peak summer afternoons. Adding 4–6 ice cubes to the 600ml tank alongside water significantly increases the cooling effect of the mist spray. The unit is designed to handle ice — no damage will occur.
Q5. How long does one full tank last?
At the continuous mist setting on high fan speed, one full 600ml tank lasts approximately 2.5 hours. On the 5-second interval mist mode at low fan speed, the same tank can last up to 12 hours. Your actual runtime will depend on which mist and fan settings you use.
Q6. Is it noisy? Will it disturb my sleep?
BuiBee operates quietly, especially on Low and Medium fan speeds. It is suitable for use in bedrooms and during sleep — many customers use the 1 or 2-hour auto-timer to keep it running as they fall asleep and let it shut off automatically. It will produce some sound at High speed, similar to a small table fan.
Q7. Does it actually cool the air or just blow air?
It cools the air in your immediate personal space through evaporative cooling — the same principle as sweating. The mist spray introduces water particles into the airflow, which evaporate and absorb heat from the surrounding air, lowering the temperature of the air that reaches you. It is most effective in dry conditions and when used within 0.5–1 metre of your face or body. It is a personal cooler, not a room air conditioner.
Q8. Can I use it with essential oils directly in the tank?
No — do not add essential oils or any liquid other than plain water directly into the water tank. This will clog the spray nozzles and damage the unit. The aroma function works through the cotton pad included in the box — place a few drops of essential oil on the cotton pad and insert it into the dedicated aroma compartment. The airflow carries the scent without any risk to the unit.
